Scholarship Presentation
Congratulations to the children or grandchildren of Perch Base members who received scholarships during
the August 8, 2015 general meeting.
There were three applicants for the Perch Base Foundation Scholarship and the committee decided to give
scholarship money to all three. As stated by Jim Denzien, the Perch Base Foundation Scholarship Committee
Chairperson, "All of these young people are fantastic representatives of the future of our country."

Elizabeth Tippett, daughter of Perch Base shipmate Bill Tippett, received a $950 USSVI National scholarship in the College Group. Base Commander Chuck Emmett (left) is shown awarding the National scholarship to Elizabeth (right.) Elizabeth also received a $500 scholarship from Perch Base.
