They included vacation travel, camping, fishing, crabbing and clam digging, four wheeling, boating, model building, woodworking, working with gems and stones, jewelry making, mechanic work, and of course countless fix-it projects both at home and for many a family and friend. Herb also loved to visit with family and friends. Although he was a man of few words he was a master at telling stories of his life experiences with the ability to grab your attention to educate and entertain. Herb is survived by his wife of 54 years, Donna, children Herbert III (Michell), Pamela Hartley (Paul) and Robert. Grandchildren, Kristin (Jared) and Travis Coulter, Cassandra Coulter, Connor and Kaitlin Hartley and great granddaughter Logan Coulter-Skeels. A Memorial Service is planned for 10:00AM August 28, 2015 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85024. Herb Coulter enlisted in the Navy in 1956 and retired from active duty in 1975 as a Master Chief Machinist Mate, MMCM(SS). Herb qualified in submarines in 1958 on the USS Wahoo (SS-565).
