Perch Base Commander
Stan Reinhold
Stan became a member of Perch Base on 03/05/31. He became a USSVI and Perch Base Life member the following year. Stan qualified on USS John Marshall SSBN611 in 1973. In 1974 he transfered to the Bathyscaph Trieste II DSV-1, and was a crewman of her, until 1977, when he transfered to USS Seawolf SSN575. Stan retired from the Navy in 1981 as a MM1(SS/DV). Stan and his wife Jane, now live in Peoria. He is Executive Chef / Director Dining Service at A.T.C.A. (Airline training Center of Arizona) Lufthansa, 1658 S. Litchfield Road, Phoenix-Goodyear Municipal Airport, Goodyear, AZ  85338.

 
Perch Base Vice Commander
Robert B. Gilmore Jr.
Robert became a  Member of USSVI in March of 2003 also joining Arizona Sub Vets, Perch Base. Robert qualified on USS Aspro SSN648 in 1981, as EM2. He also served on USS Grayling SSN646 from 1984-1987. Leaving the Navy as EM1(SS), after searving 8 years, he returned to Arizona and currently lives in Youngtown. Robert is also active in the American Legion and serves Post #105, as
Sr. Vice Commander.

   

Perch Base Treasurer, Secretary, & Memorial Chairman
James Denzien
Jim transfered to Perch Base in 2003, from Seattle base. Jim qualified on USS Andrew Jackson SSBN619, in 1964. He went on to serve on USS Argonaut SS475, USS Darter SS576, USS Wahoo SS565, USS Robert E. Lee SSBN601, USS Sam Houston SSBN 609, and was a crewman on Bathyscaph Trieste II DSV-1. Jim was an MT2(SS/DV), when given the chanch in OCS and after 21 years of service, retiring from the Navy as LT. Jim and wife Mary now live in Tolleson.

Jim "Nillie" Nelson
Jim joined USSVI and Arizona Sub Vets Perch Base in 1997. Jim qualified on the USS Spinax SS489 in 1996 as EMFN. After serving a 4 year hitch he left the Navy as EM3(SS). Jim and wife Nancy live in Sun City and their son Brent, serves in the "Silent Service" as a MM2(SS).


 
Perch Base Chaplain
Warner Doyle
Warner Joined USSVI and Arizona Sub Vets Perch Base in 2000. He became a USSVI Life member in 2002, and is the very first member to become a Perch Base life member with number 0001 on his card. Warner qualified on USS Mariano G Vallejo SSBN658 in 1973 as MM3, and also served on the USS Nerus AS17. After serving for 8 years he left the Navy as MM1(SS).
Warner and wife Darlene live in Goodyear AZ.

David Fledderjohn
Dave Joined USSVI (LIFE) and Arizona Sub Vets Perch Base in 2007. He Qualified on USS Benjamin Franklin, SSBN640 in 1970. He left the Navy after a 4 year hitch as ETR3(SS). Dave enjoys a self employed life selling and installing overhead doors, currently living in
Scottsdale, Arizona.

Perch Base Commander
Tim Moore
 Tim is a Life Member of USSVI and has been a member of Arizona Sub Vets, Perch Base since 03/08/19. In 1963 Tim qualified on USS Seawolf, SSN575 in 1963, as a RM striker. In 1964 he transferred to USS Skipjack SSN585 and rode her for two years before ending up on the USS Croaker SS246. Tim left the Navy as RM2(SS) and now lives in Glendale where he currently has an Air Conditioner business, called "Night and Day". 

   
Perch Base Secretary
EDGAR BROOKS
Ed became a member of Arizona Sub Vets, Perch Base, in July of 2000, transferring from Bremerton Base upon moving to Arizona. He qualified on USS Sea Leopard SS483 in 1959 as ICFN. In 1961 he transferred to USS Halibut SSGN587, and in 1964 he served on USS Guardfish SSN612. After 20 years of service, Ed retired from the Navy as LT. in 1978.  Ed and wife Lee Ann reside in Prescott AZ. Perch Base Membership Chair
RAY SAMSON
Ray became a member of Arizona Sub Vets, in June of 1998. Shortly after joining he took over the duties of Membership from Gary L Patterson, who was suffering from cancer.
Ray qualified on USS Charr SS328 in 1956, and left the Navy after 1 hitch as EN3(SS)
Now retired, Ray lives in Sun City with his bride Lena of 47 years.
